🕯️ THE AUTHOR — SALIM AL-HAKIM

A physician, philosopher, and mathematician, Salim al-Hakim was a disciple of the great translation schools of Damascus and Harran, where he studied the Hermetic writings and the Solomonic archives preserved by early scholars.
He described The Golden Veil as “a book that speaks when the mind is silent.”

After completing the manuscript, he vanished — leaving behind only a single copy sealed in a cedar chest, found centuries later beneath the ruins of an Abbasid observatory.

Modern analysis of the surviving parchment confirmed microscopic traces of lapis lazuli dust and gold leaf, substances traditionally used to represent divine illumination.
